THE body of a Cheshire woman who has been missing since the Boxing Day tsunami disaster in Thailand has now been found.

Rachel Quinn, 34, from Hartford near Northwich, was on holiday with her husband Kevin at Khai Lak, near Phuket, when the tsunami struck.

A statement from the family, issued by Cheshire police, said that her body was found and identified last week and had now been flown back to the UK.

Subject to a coroner's inquest in London, the body is expected to be returned to Cheshire later this week.

The statement continues: "It is expected that the funeral will take place in Hartford church, where Rachel and Kevin were married.

Her husband escaped the tsunami, suffering only leg injuries, after grabbing a balcony rail. The couple, who married six years ago, moved to Hong Kong in October to start a new life.

* LORD Attenborough led an emotional tribute yesterday at a memorial service in Southwark Cathedral yesterday to the three family members he lost.

His 14-year-old granddaughter Lucy, daughter Jane and her mother-in-law Jane Holland died when the wave hit their beach, also in Phuket.
