‘ELDERLY women’ riding souped-up shopping trollies will delight shoppers at the Port Arcades on Easter Saturday.

Granny Turismo, a favourite with local shoppers, will make a return to Ellesmere Port, bringing adapted shopping trolleys and special sound systems.

The Port Arcades Shopping Centre has invited the shopping trolley dancing grannies to perform in the centre to provide free fun entertainment as part of the Easter Saturday schedule.

There is also a free Easter-themed craft workshop, where children will be able to make Easter-related objects. It will run from 10.30am-3pm, with a half-hour lunch break.

The centre’s free Easter egg hunt, for under-12s, will take place from 10.30am-2.30pm, with all participants receiving a chocolate prize. Rosie Rabbit will be on hand for photos.

The Grannies will take to the mall at 10.30am for their first routine and are scheduled to do three performances during the course of the day.

Rosie Rabbit will be in the centre from 10.30am, with regular carrot breaks.
