THE Mayor of Wrexham, Cllr David Griffiths, has become one of the latest members of Wrexham Credit Union.

On Saturday the Credit Union will be launching its Saturday openings from 9.30am to 12.30pm, and will be having a draw for five free one month Pure Leisure memberships for those signing up on the day.

The Credit Union provides great benefits for its members and is open to all those who live or work in the county borough.

Firstly, it offers a savings scheme to allow people to save as little or as much as they can for the future – whether it be to cover the cost of a new boiler, car repairs or even for Christmas.

In addition to this, members can benefit from affordable loan interest rates – more details available at www.wrexhamcu.co.uk, as well as receiving free life savings and loan protection (subject to conditions).

Credit Unions are a worldwide financial movement - a huge success with more than 160 million members.

In Britain there are more than 600 credit unions, the largest of which are able to offer current accounts, access to ATMs, and even mortgages to its members.

Cllr Griffiths said: “I welcome this new business, offering affordable high quality financial services for the county borough and I hope everyone will join.”
