A SWISS tourist was injured after he was set upon by five males and robbed.

The unnamed visitor received a black eye and had to go to hospital following the attack, which happened in the city centre at around 11.30pm last Friday.

Police say the male victim was approached and spoken to by the men as he walked along Boughton near the Harley Davidson outlet.

The five males walked with the tourist down City Road. He turned at Crewe Street thinking he had left the men behind but soon afterwards they attacked him near to the entrance to Chester City Transport depot and stole his wallet.

The man has only been able to give one description. He is a white, 5ft 3in tall, in his mid 20s, clean shaven, with a pointed chin.

He is of a slim build with short dark brown hair, was wearing beige nylon trousers with pockets on each side and a dark green shirt. He may have been called Steven.
