CONSERVATIVE candidate Stuart Penketh is predicting a close fight with Labour tonight for the Ellesmere Port and Neston seat.

Mr Penketh is out with his election team today delivering leaflets in Neston, Willaston, and Ellesmere Port. Currently he is campaigning in Sutton Green and Manor.

“It has been a tiring campaign but it has gone very well. We beat Labour off the mark, we’ve taken the fight to them”, said Penketh.

“I think they were shocked. They’ve been incredibly complacent. They brought ministers to the town because they started to realise if they’re not careful the game is up.

“What we’ve considered to be die-hard Labour areas, the reception we’ve been getting has been pretty fantastic.

“It’s going to be a close fight. I’m going to be out all day, I’ll go and get a meal, and then I’ll have half-an-hour’s sleep and a shower to freshen up.”
