LEGAL experts Walker Smith & Way are lending their support to Nightingale House's 10th Anniversary Celebration Concert.

The firm's Wrexham office will be the main sponsors behind the William Aston Hall concert on Sunday, September 17.

The Celebration Concert is just one of the large events the hospice has hosted in its anniversary year.

Cecilia Smiga, renowned for her singing for the Llanelli Scarlets and the England football team, will take centre stage, as will Andrew Griffiths, a male soloist who hails from Rhostyllen.

Côr Godre'r Aran, from Bala, will be fresh from winning the Llangollen Eisteddfod Male Voice Choir of the Year title, after previously winning the National Eisteddfod three times.

Ensemble Cymru, since it was established in 2001, has brought live music to more than 10,000 people of all ages in Wales. They even performed as part of the opening weekend of the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff in 2004 and performed at the opening concert of Galeri Caernarfon featuring Bryn Terfel in April.

Jo Young, corporate fundraiser at Nightingale House, said: 'This is a concert that will appeal to people of all musical tastes and is definitely not 'high brow' classical.

'Come and support what is arguably the most talented Welsh performers that Wrexham has seen for a very long time.'

Tickets are priced at £12 for adults and £8 for children, and are available from the hospice's fundraising Department, and hospice shops in Brook Street, Wrexham, Market Street Rhos and Well Street, Cefn Mawr. To book over the phone by credit card call 01978 314292.
