WEAVER Vale MP Mike Hall dropped in to Charles Darwin Primary School, Castle, last week to join in the celebrations after an impressive Ofsted report.

The inspection team gave a resounding thumbs up to the Darwin Street school recently, and headteacher Adam Croft said he is delighted with the progress being made.

Mr Croft, who took over as headteacher less than a year ago, said: “The school has had a successful year culminating in an extremely positive report from the schools inspection team, which states that there have been significant improvements.

“The school has also continued to excel on the sports field being crowned Cheshire athletics champions, being runners up at rounders, football and tag rugby and finishing third in the Vale Royal swimming gala.”
