AN ELLESMERE Port gardener has scooped many of the top prizes in a horticultural show.
Danny Lowe won the Garden Top Vase, The Upton Carnival Cup (vegetable section) and rosettes for best exhibit in the vegetable section, most points in the novelty section and best exhibit in flowers (miscellaneous section) at the Upton-by-Chester Horticultural Society autumn show.
Danny also shared the Safeway Challenge Cup awarded to the exhibitor gaining most points in the autumn show which took place at Upton Village Hall earlier this month.
Narayan Subramanian said: “Much credit and thanks go to a number of committee members, in particular Jeff Formstone for the preparation of schedules, Bob Worboys for
co-ordinating and staging the shows and chairman Wendy Carman, who has worked tirelessly during the year to ensure the success of the society.”
