A TOASTER left two people in hospital with smoke inhalation after it caught fire at a house in Great Sutton.

Two fire engines from Ellesmere Port fire station rushed to the scene in Sutton Way at 6.13pm on Tuesday, December 14.

On arrival, they found a toaster to be the cause of the blaze and, wearing breathing apparatus, used a hand-held extinguisher to put it out.

A positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear smoke and the two people in the house at the time were taken to hospital suffering the effects of smoke inhalation.
