A PASSENGER is urging Arriva to change the time of one of its peak morning bus services.

Helen Richardson, who gets the X11 from Little Sutton to her workplace in Chester, wants the bus operator to provide the service earlier in the morning.

She says the change in the timetable last year has resulted in she and her fellow commuters arriving late for work and fears it could put people’s jobs in jeopardy.

Mrs Richardson said: “The X11 is supposed to leave at 7.54am but is often a few minutes late. Then when you consider the traffic in and around Chester of a morning you can’t always arrive on time.

“If people keep getting into Chester late for work it could be putting their jobs at risk.

“I’ve had to start getting the earlier 401 service but that goes via Ellesmere Port and with more people having the same idea as me that service also gets me in late.

“The X11 service used to leave Little Sutton at 7.38am which was great. I wish Arriva would change it back to that time or make it a bit earlier as it would make a big difference.”

Arriva spokesman Nick Gordon said: “Timings on the X11 service were altered last year although we are continuing to monitor customer feedback and if necessary may look to make further changes later this year.

“If the customer concerned would like to contact us with specific details regarding this service then we would be happy to investigate further on her behalf.”
