A CHILDER Thornton mum has organised a charity evening in tribute to the much-loved sister-in-law she lost to breast cancer this year.
Suzy Young has made it her mission to raise money in memory of Lila, who died in August.
She has already helped raise more than £6,000 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer – and has now persuaded performers and businesses to unite for a star-studded fundraiser in aid of the charity.
The evening, to be held at The Supper Club, Blundell Street, Liverpool, on Thursday, February 9, will include comedy, music and a raffle.
The line-up will boast comedians Ben Lawes and Marcus Shufflebottom and music from Frank Sinatra tribute act Perfectly Frank, aka David Knopov, who was part of the Queen’s golden jubilee celebrations.
The auction will feature prizes donated by Hotel Indigo, Liverpool and Everton football clubs, a cocktail masterclass by Twenty Five, a photo session from Dream World Photography and Lili-Boo Cakes and a champagne lunch from Franklins Deli.
Beauty goodies and treats will also be provided on the night by 2LoveMyLips and Candy Floss.
Suzy said: “Everyone knows someone who has been affected by breast cancer and I want to do all I can to commemorate Lila and help the fight against this terrible disease.”
Tickets are £20 and can be bought from Suzy by calling 07989 420071, emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or tweeting @Suzanneyoung2.
All tickets bought will be entered into a draw to win £100 worth of Thomas Cook vouchers and £100 cash donated by Golden Gate Holiday Park.
