A MAN is in hospital with serious injuries after a VW Beetle crashed near Chester.

A MAN is in hospital with serious injuries after a VW Beetle crashed near Chester.

The driver lost control of the car during the early hours of yesterday on the A5117 at Shotwick.

All three men, from the Helsby and Frodsham area, were injured in the smash which did not involve any other vehicle.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said one of the men in the car was in hospital with serious injuries.

The crash happened at 12.40am yesterday, and witnesses are asked to contact PC Rob Johnson on 0845 458 0000.
