A TODDLER is in hospital in a “stable but serious” condition after a two-vehicle collision in Plumley.

The boy’s 40-year-old mother, who was driving a Fiat Brava, and a 55-year-old man escaped with minor injuries following the crash on the A556 Chester Road shortly before midday on Friday, October 10.

They were both treated at Leighton and released later the same day, but the two-year-old boy is still in hospital. Police say the family are from Warrington and the man, who was driving a Ford Transit van, is from Bolton.

Witnesses are asked to contact Sgt Carl Bailey at Wilmslow Specialist Investigation Unit on 01244 613641.
