THREE people including an eight-year-old boy had to be cut from the wreckage of a car after a collision on the bypass at Hartford on Friday afternoon.
The A556 was closed and diversions set up following the crash at 3.45pm, and the male driver of a Peugeot 106 was treated for head injuries at Leighton Hospital.
He and his two passengers, the schoolboy and a 17-year-old male, were freed from the vehicle by firefighters, but the younger pair were unhurt.
The female driver of a Ford Focus was also unharmed. The collision occurred on the Manchester-bound carriageway, and the Peugeot had smashed into the central barrier, police said.
Witnesses are asked to call Sgt Rachael Gallagher at Cheshire Constabulary’s road policing unit on 01244 613163.
