GREAT Sutton beauty Jessica Simpson might not have won the Miss England title but she’s still looking forward to a bright future.

The 17-year-old model, who was crowned Miss Manchester back in May, came in the top 20 at the Miss England national final in London on Friday.

Although she didn’t win, she is far from disappointed.

The former Whitby High School sixth-former’s modelling career is blossoming in London and she has been approached to join a new girl band.

Jessica said: “I’m really proud of the title I’ve already got. There are lots of events to look forward to as Miss Manchester.

“My modelling career is taking off. I’ve just got a massive new contract and I’m getting into some of the top agencies.

“On the night of the Miss England final I had an invite to join a new girl band which is really exciting.

“They are called Flame and it’ll be interesting to see what works out. I’m hoping to meet them on Saturday.”

Jessica, who studied dance and drama at Mostyn House School, Parkgate and Hammond School, Chester, didn’t come away from the event completely empty handed.

She was chosen by fashion label Lipsy London to be their Miss Lipsy and received £500 worth of clothing to spend on its website.

Prior to the final, Jessica was also hoping to land the Miss Charity title.

Although she raised more than £600 for Cancer Research it wasn’t enough to clinch the honour.
