Wheelie bin is stolen
A MECHANICAL device, a wheelie bin and a boiler flue were all taken in a spate of bizarre thefts.
Crooks moved an excavator vehicle to reach a hydraulic breaker attachment underneath its giant bucket on a building site in Burton Road, Little Neston between July 2 and 7.
The wheelie bin was stolen from outside Hooton Railway Station between Wednesday and Friday, and the flue was unscrewed from a boiler in an educational building in Whitby Road, Ellesmere Port, between July 4 and Wednesday.
Thieves cut open a locked gate in Sutton Way, Great Sutton, at 3.30am on Friday and tried to steal a Suzuki GSXR motorcycle. When disturbed by the owner, they pushed him before running off.
One crook was aged 19-23, white, 5ft 8ins tall wearing a black hoodie, with dark hair and a fringe. The other was in his early 20s, white, 6ft tall, wearing a grey hoodie.
Vandals threw a brick through a window above a pub in Whitby Road, Ellesmere Port, between 3-5am on Sunday; used a broken bottle to slash a Ford Transit’s tyres in Clayhill Green, Little Sutton, on Friday night; smashed three 2ft by 3ft ground floor windows at a pre-school in Dolphin Crescent, Great Sutton, on Wednesday night; threw an unknown liquid over the bonnet and roof of a Jaguar XJ in Kronsbec Avenue, Little Sutton, on the night of July 6, causing the paintwork to bubble; smashed five windows of a school in Chester Road, Great Sutton, between July 5 and 7, and kicked down 9ft of fencing outside a home in Wood Lane, Parkgate, on the night of July 5.
Thieves stole a blue and white Barracuda mountain bike from Raby Court, Stanney, on Sunday; stole golf clubs and a jacket from a white Mercedes Sprinter in Chester Road, Childer Thornton, at 8.50am on Saturday; took a child’s pink BMX Rhino from outside Ellesmere Port Library in Civic Way on Thursday afternoon; took a Ford Transit from Meadow Lane, Ellesmere Port, stole a Ford Transit minibus from Lower Mersey Street, Ellesmere Port, and took tools from a Mercedes Vito van at Thornton Hall, Chester Road, Childer Thornton, all on Wednesday; smashed the glass in the fire door of a shop in South Pier Road, Ellesmere Port, between 1.45-2.15am on July 8 and stole the till, and stole CDs and a disabled sticker from a car in Coliseum Way, Cheshire Oaks, between 10am-noon that same day; stole property and cash from a house in Chester High Road, Burton, between 2.40-4.30pm on July 7 before being disturbed by the alarm, took a coin jar from the lounge of a house in Broxton Road, Great Sutton, that day, and kicked in a flat’s front door in Sutton Way between 10-10.30pm that same day before vandalising the fireplace and stereo then stealing a Panasonic 32ins TV and DVD player; took household items and food from the fridge at a house in Saltersgate, Great Sutton, between July 6-7, and stole keys from a property in Leven Walk, Ellesmere Port, at 7pm on July 6.
