INNOVATIVE Northwich amateur theatre company The Harlequins certainly ring the changes over the next few months.
The new season opens on September 4 with Forgotten Voices, a moving production based on the oral testimonies of First World War veterans.
Five survivors, four men and one woman, movingly reveal their stories in this powerful stage version of Max Arthur’s best selling book.
Forgotten Voices is followed by Bram Stoker’s Dracula which promises to crank up the chills in the run up to Halloween, and in stark contrast Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion is this year’s pre-Christmas treat.
The new year brings more dramatic offerings opening with William Shakespeare’s Henry V in February, followed by the Richard Harris comedy Stepping Out and Alan Ayckbourn’s Time Of My Life.
A completely redesigned website carries all the details of the new season (www.harlequinplayers.co.uk ) as well as details of how to get involved both on stage and behind the scenes.
