PUPILS of The Maelor School, Penley, had reason to smile on A-level results day.
All of them gained passes in two examinations, with 73% gaining four or more passes.
The overall points score per student of 329 (equivalent to one A and two B grades) is the best ever achieved by the school.
Headteacher Eiddwyn Hall said: “Amongst the results were some excellent individual achievements with two students attaining five grade As, a further two gained four grade As and four students achieved three A grades and one B grade in their examinations.
“Our congratulations go to all of our students who have worked hard over the past two years to attain these results.”
