A CZECH exchange student is experiencing working life in rural Cheshire as part of a three-week work placement at a farm shop.
Tereza Svatkova is one of three business students from Rychnov and Kneznou in the north of the Czech Republic involved in the placements.
They have been organised by the Weaver and Dane Twinning Committee to give them an insight into life in Cheshire and help them improve their English.
The 17-year-old is working at The Hollies Farm Shop in Little Budworth to experience working in the local community, and business practices.
She said: “Although this is my third visit to England, it’s the first time I have been able to find out what it’s like to work here.
“I’ve really enjoyed my time so far and I am looking forward to the rest of my stay.”
To give her a further taste of local culture, she will experience a bowls night at the local Red Lion pub and weekend trips to Chester, Manchester and Liverpool.
Ed Cowap, director of The Hollies Farm Shop, said; “We’re delighted to be involved in this work placement programme and to welcome Tereza to the shop.”
