A TEENAGE girl has been transferred to Walton Hospital in Liverpool with life-threatening injuries following a crash in Wrexham on Sunday.

The unnamed girl was a passenger in an Astra car in collision with a Nissan Almera on Bangor Road (the A525) in Marchwiel at around 10.38pm.

She was initially taken to Wrexham Maelor Hospital but later transferred to Walton Hospital.

The driver, a teenage boy, remains in a serious condition at Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

The rear seat passenger, a teenage boy, sustained minor injuries, as did the female driver of the Nissan Almera.

Traffic was diverted at Cross Lanes but the road reopened shortly after 4am on Monday.
