A 16-YEAR-OLD boy from Winsford will appear at Vale Royal Youth Court this morning to be sentenced for two assaults.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to the charges last week. The offences date back to November 13.

Schoolboy guilty

A SCHOOLBOY from Greenbank has appeared in court charged with stealing two computer games from a supermarket.

The 14-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to theft at Vale Royal Youth Court this week.

He was given a three-month referral and ordered to pay £28 compensation to Tesco for the incident on October 26.

Sent for trial

A TEENAGER accused of assaulting a police officer will be tried next month after denying the offence.

The 17-year-old from Northwich cannot be named for legal reasons. The assault allegedly occurred on December 13, but the defendant claims he acted in self defence.

He is due to appear at Vale Royal Youth Court on the afternoon of February 20.

Crown court date

A 37-YEAR-OLD woman accused of theft will be tried before a judge and jury at Chester Crown Court on February 19.

Donna-Rae Hayter, of Lavender Drive, Rudheath, denies stealing a £400 Kawasaki motorcycle in June last year.
