A TEA party at a care development in Ellesmere Port will raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Avantage’s Hollymere Extra Care Development scheme in Ellesmere Port, which provides independent living for the over 60s, is holding a Blooming Great Tea Party.

The tea party – which is taking place at the development on New Grosvenor Road, Ellesmere Port, on July 5 at 2-4pm – will include a tea dance with professional dance instructor, Charles Wood, a raffle and refreshments – with all profits going to the charity.

Entry is free, with a variety of afternoon tea/coffee and cakes priced at £2 per person and everyone is welcome.

All the money raised will help Marie Curie nurses provide more free care to people with terminal cancer and other illnesses in their own homes or one of the charity’s hospices.

Alison Parry, Hollymere’s facilities and events manager, said: “We’d like to invite everyone to our Blooming Great Tea Party to help raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

“It’s going to be a fantastic event and a great way to get together with friends old and new. The more money we raise, the more free care Marie Curie nurses can provide to people at home.”
