TAXI driver David Edward Owen worked on a social services contract taking special needs children to school.
When the contract ended Owen kept in touch with a girl - and sexually assaulting her on two occasions.
Owen, 63, of Crathie Place, Wrexham, was jailed for a year and placed on the sex offenders' register for 10 years.
He admitted two counts of sexual activity with the child.
He was also banned from being in a vehicle with females under 16 under a Sexual Offences Prevention Order.
Mold Crown Court was told that because of her condition, the girl aged 15 was unable to make a formal complaint to the police.
