Cubs, Scouts and Explorers from 1st Tarporley Scout Group appealed to shoppers for donations for the worthy cause of Tarporley War Memorial Hospital.
The response from the public was great, with many people impressed by how polite and smart the young people were as they helped out at Tarporley Co-op.
A total of £243.57 was collected and handed over to the hospital on the same day.
Group Scout leader Nick Oates said: “1st Tarporley Scout Group is grateful to the Co-op for enabling us to participate in their 1% towards the community charity scheme. This is an excellent way in which we raise additional funding for our scouting activities.”
