THE Salt Museum is offering visitors the chance to walk through history today and rub shoulders with a Roman soldier, a Saxon salt boiler, a medieval archer, an Elizabethan plague doctor, a 17th century servant and a Victorian workhouse inmate.

The half-term event takes place from 10am-4pm.

There's more half-term history tomorrow when visitors have the chance to get dressed up themselves. There’s also showings of classic family films in the mini-cinema.

The events are included in the usual museum admission price of £2.50 adults, £2 concessions, £1.30 children and £6 for a family ticket.
