CAERGWRLE Surgery has proved it’s got its finger on the pulse after scooping the runner-up spot in the Practice of the Year awards.
The practice was selected from surgeries up and down the country.
Dr Lalarukh Khan took over Caergwrle Surgery two years ago and since taking up her post it has grown by 25%.
Employees at the practice include IT co-ordinator, practice manager and dispenser Kevin Strudwick, receptionist Elaine Coppack and nurse Suzanne Clarke.
Dr Khan says the key to the surgery’s success is the staff’s ability to work well as a team and their complete dedication to patient care.
She added: “A lot of work has been put in by our staff to transform the practice in a very short time. I think our success comes because we work very well as a team.
“One person can’t do everything on their own, but if you work together you can achieve something exceptional.
“We are just a small team, but we all work very hard. Our motto is to always provide the highest standard of patient care, the patient is what matters most to us.”
The surgery also scored for patient satisfaction and in the top four for costing targets.
Dr Khan added: “It’s nice to be recognised for the work we’ve done.”
