AN incredible 55-yard strike from Chris Williams ensured Nomads took the honours in a tense Flintshire derby.
And the defenders wonder goal also ended Airbus’s five match unbeaten run.
The hosts weathered early pressure before going on to dominate the opening period.
Tommy Baker shot just over from distance before Craig Jones headed against the post after Stuart Cook’s cross.
No one was prepared for the 33rd minute opener though, as Williams collected the ball a few yards into his own half and, with the wind at his back, sent an audacious chip sailing over the stranded Andy Hughes.
The goal rocked the Wingmakers into life with Alan Hooley and James McIntosh firing wide.
Hooley went even closer with the first effort of the second half as he took down a long ball and forced Paul Pritchard into a flying save.
Airbus were now on top and player boss Gareth Owen, on his return to his old club, curled two stinging free-kicks inches wide and on to the post.
