STUDENTS across Mid Cheshire joined in the euphoria that greeted another record-breaking set of A-Level results on Thursday.

All schools reported another year of fan-tastic results with head teachers praising the hard work and dedication of all concerned.

One of the most remarkable stories of the day came from The Grange School, where three sets of twins pocketed 21 A grades between them.

They included 18- year-olds Christopher and Thomas Beasant, of Cuddington, who share the same ambition to become civil engineers.

Tom was awarded five A grades and Christopher four plus a B in the same subjects – maths, further maths, physics, chemistry and general studies.

Their proud dad Nigel said: “It is more difficult for twins because they compete against each other and everyone else.

“We are absolutely thrilled with their results which are due to a lot of very hard work.”
