ANOTHER year of exceptional pass rates added to the A-level celebrations at Sir John Deane’s College on Thursday.
Delighted principal Andrew Jones described the results as “excellent” and said they reflected not only the commitment and ability of students but also the care and guidance of teachers and parents.
“It is great to see so many smiling faces around college and, on the basis of this set of results, we hope to maintain our record of being in the top 10 sixth-form colleges.”
Sir John Deane’s has delivered outstanding results for many years – and this year is no exception with 100% pass rates in 29 subjects.
Star pupils included Sarah Hopwood and Julia Nicholson, who both obtained five Grade As, and Emma Haward and Rachel Ward, who both picked up four grade As and one B.
There was also great news for Frances Mathews, Charlotte Harrison and Rebekah Hope, who achieved some of the highest marks in the country in Health and Social Care.
