AGE Concern has been given a £2,500 boost thanks to a charity fashion show organised by students at Sir John Deane’s College.

Last week’s show included the latest high street fashions as well as some garments created by the students who are studying textiles.

About 30 students modelled the clothes.

The college’s Anne Broom said: “The Fashion Show Committee worked hard and the students should be proud of their efforts – especially as they have raised so much money for Age Concern.”

Thanks went to all the retailers who supplied clothing and staff at Chartoria, in Castle, who came along to style hair and make-up for the models.
