AN OFFICIAL launch of freestyle football known as Streetcage Soccer is taking place in Neston.

Stanney Fields Park will host the event, which includes music and a barbecue, on Friday, July 31.

Soccer sessions have been set up by Neston Parish Church and are being delivered by Streetcage Sports CIC.

They will be held between 6-7pm for 8-10 year olds, 7-8pm for 11-13 year olds, and 8-9pm for those aged 14 and above.

The sessions have been secured as a result of Cheshire West and Chester Council’s help in obtaining two years funding from Fair Share Trust and Project Rural Matters.

They will run in conjunction with the Friday night drop in at the Youth Zone of the Neston Community and Youth Centre.

Everyone taking part will have the opportunity to learn the latest free-style tricks and develop skill, flare, imagination, creativity, and excitement.

The programme is split into four phases to help everyone taking part master getting the ball off the ground, perform amazing tricks and use the cage to beat players before scoring the winning goal. For more information call Michelle Aspden on 0151 365 6456.
