ERDDIG is repeating it’s Victorian Family Tuesdays, beginning on July 22 from 12pm to 4pm.

Visitors will be able to experience a snippet of Victorian life with a different activity to try out each Tuesday in the school holidays.

On the first week there will be peg dolls to make as well as costumes to try on and servants work tools to puzzle over.

A favourite 19th Century sport for the Yorke family at Erddig was archery and everyone can try it with bows and arrows in the garden.

Jill Burton, education officer, said: “We have a lot of fun on these summer Tuesdays. The children love trying on the costumes, so don’t forget a camera.

“Lots of families come back week after week to have fun and to enjoy the beauty of Erddig gardens.”
