CHILDREN in Need's big concert is upon us and the stars will truly come out in Wrexham tomorrow night (Friday).

Ticket-holders will be able to experience music from Canadian rock star Bryan Adams, Scottish balladeers Wet Wet Wet, Lisa Stansfield and rising star Kristian Leontiou.

Classical star Katherine Jenkins and the queen of Big Brother 5 Nadia Almada, who has just released her single, A Little Bit of Action, will also perform.

Wrexham has never seen a gathering of stars like it and they will be joined by local people who have raised money for Children in Need this year.

Wrexham fundraisers will have an opportunity to appear on national TV handing over their donations and they will be assisted by BBC Wales presenters Jason Mohammad and Frances Donovan, while Kevin Hughes and Howard Griffiths will introduce the acts on stage.

Free tickets have been allocated to 6,000 people already - the maximum capacity for the venue, but anyone who cannot get in can catch the highlights on the BBC throughout the night on BBC One Wales. The concert is also going out live on BBC Radio Wales and later in the year a highlights package of the concert will be broadcast on Welsh digital TV station BBC 2W.

Those lucky enough to get a ticket can enter Llwyn Isaf in front of the Guildhall from 6pm, with the concert staring at 7pm.

If you still want to try to get a ticket, call 01978 313763 where you can get on a waiting list for a ticket should someone not be able to attend.
