MEMBERS of staff at Matalan in Northwich were in jovial mood as they raised £450 for charity.

Employees took part in a range of in-store activities to raise money in aid of the NSPCC.

Some shook their buckets and collected donations from generous shoppers, while others had their faces painted.

Jamie Bailey, 21, and Chris Wilkinson, 18, even agreed to have their legs waxed – a task expertly performed by Anthea Cull from Inches Beauty Salon.

“It was a fun day and all for a worthwhile cause,” said organiser Zoe Hinchcliffe.
