STAFF at an Ellesmere Port-based events company swapped their work shoes for wellies to support a wildlife charity.

As part of Event Marketing Solutions’s (EMS’s) commitment to the environment, employees volunteered to work on one of Cheshire Wildlife Trust’s latest projects, helping to build fences and a sluice gate to protect a nature reserve alongside the River Gowy.

Managing director Keith Austin said: “We were delighted to support this local wildlife charity, and the team really enjoyed getting involved.

“We are committed to offsetting our carbon emissions and it’s great to be able to support a local charity at the same time.”

EMS has also sponsored a tree-planting scheme in partnership with Cheshire West and Chester Council, providing the funds for five native oak trees to be planted in Whitby Park, Elles- mere Port, earlier this year.
