GET into the spirit of Hallowe’en with a visit to the Spooky Play sessions organised by the borough council.

Come along and pin the eye on the witch, duck for apples or make trick or treat bags, batty badges, and spooky cookies. There’s also face-painting and ghostly stories to set the scene.

Senior borough development officer Eleanor Evans said: “Free play schemes are held all year round and events like these provide an opportunity for local families to meet the staff and find out more about what’s going on at the venues in their area.”

Spooky Play Sessions run from 4-6pm at Thelwall Road Community Centre, Great Sutton, on Tuesday (October 28); Little Sutton Community Centre on Wednesday (October 29); and Neston Civic Hall on Friday, October 31.

The sessions, part of the Freedom to Play scheme funded by the Big Lottery, are open to children aged 6-11 years.

They are free of charge but must be booked in advance on 0151 355 7652.
