Spooky pensioners get into the spirit

RESIDENTS at Fountain Court indepen- dent living apartments in Davenham enjoyed some spooky celebrations at a special Hallowe’en party.

Ghosts and ghouls came out to play as the pensioners donned outfits for a fancy dress competition judged by Vale Royal mayor Cllr Malcolm Gaskill on Friday, October 31.

Residents at the Weaver Vale Housing Trust flats were also treated to a hot pot supper and live entertainment from Chester folk singer Roy Clinging.

Sue Cattell, manager at Fountain Court, said: “It’s great that the mayor of Vale Royal has come to judge the fancy dress competition and see the tremendous enthusiasm that our residents have for creating a fun and happy environment here.”
