EVERY year the UK Chemical Industries Association (CIA) celebrates excellence by presenting companies and individuals with awards that recognise outstanding contributions.

At this year’s awards ceremony in Leeds, Ellesmere Port speciality chemicals company Innospec Ltd was voted CIA Company of the Year 2008 in recognition of its business success and sustained contribution to the UK economy.

The company also received the Reputation Award for demonstrating best practice in communicating with its stakeholders, enhancing their reputation and that of the chemical industry at large.

Paul Jennings, president and chief executive officer of Innospec, said: “This is a fantastic achievement and something all Innospec employees should be proud of.

“These awards reflect the commitment and dedication of everyone who works for Innospec.”

Innospec has dramatically transformed its business over the last couple of years. Once a single product company, it has diversified its product range by investing in research and development and innovation.
