RUDHEATH songwriter Scott Nicholas is about to embark on a 12-month journey to Australia hoping to become a big hit Down Under.

Nicholas, 25, has been booked to play gigs by venues across the Antipodean island, in Perth, Melbourne and Sydney.

The former Rudheath High School pupil now regularly plays acoustic sets to live audiences across the county.

Manager Richard Rogerson said: “His songs are always brutally honest, thought-provoking and emotionally moving.”

“I think that people really need to hear his material.”

Before Nicholas leaves for Oz, he will appear at The Box in Crewe on Saturday, December 6. Tickets cost £4 and doors open at 8pm.
