THE Coronation Street and Waterloo Road actor Ian Puleston-Davies delighted patients and staff at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd when he visited them in Backford. Ian, who plays Owen Armstrong on Corrie, was shown around the centre of excellence and learnt of the vital services it provides, including day therapy, in-patient unit, rehabilitation area and Macmillan support. One patient in particular, Terry Jones who lives in Chester, was thrilled to meet Ian as he is a keen fan of Coronation Street and was only too pleased to have a photograph taken with him. Ian said: “I was most impressed with both the facilities and the staff who made it very clear to me howŠ proud they are to be working for a great cause.“Such enthusiasm and obvious love for the hospice was apparent, and it was a delight to meet and chat toŠTerry.”Amanda Le Bretton, hospice fundraising/marketing manager added: “How kind of Ian to spend some time with us at the hospice, it really gave the patients, staff and volunteers a boost. “Ian has agreed to become a regular supporter of the hospice and it is our hope he will become a patron in the near future.” Waterloo Road actor Ian Puleston-Davies delighted patients and staff at the Hospice of the Good Shepherd when he visited them in Backford.
