A WREXHAM football team is celebrating after securing kit sponsorship.
Borras Park Albion FC’s under-16s side has been provided with a full playing kit by Dane Volkswagen in Chester, for 2008/9.
The deal, worth more than £600, means manager John Muldoon can concentrate on matters on the field as the team prepare for what they hope will be another successful season.
John said: “Everyone associated with the club is delighted with the sponsorship and very grateful to Dane for their continued support.
“The lads are very proud of their kit and we hope to repay the kindness with some exciting football and maybe a trophy or two!”
Borras Park Albion has teams in every age group from under-6s to under-16s and each team play against teams from north east Wales and Chester.
The current under-16s team have only lost one league game in the past four seasons and if they win the league this year will be the only team in the history of the club to have won all five league titles at youth level.
Chris McCabe, brand manager at Dane Volkswagen in Chester, said: “Staff from Dane will also be supporting the team from the sidelines and keeping our fingers crossed for a successful season.”
