The Back to Work course is designed for people who want to find employment but are worried they have been left behind by modern technology.

The five-week programme will give them all the help they need to refresh and update their computing skills, and give them courage to return to work or study, or move on to more advanced computing skills.

The course costs £35 and will run every Wednesday from 4.45-6.45pm.

Also starting today is a course in Microsoft Word for those with sound basic skills and a thirst to learn more about computing.

Pupils will be taught how to create, format and present a range of documents, including making letterheaded documents and symbols.

The five-week course costs £35 and will run every Wednesday from 7.15-9.15pm.

The college’s 10-week Type Right programme started on Monday. The basic keyboard familiarisation course will teach students how to touch type. Sessions run every Monday from 7.15-9.15pm and the full course costs £65.
