LITTLE Sutton singer Laura Critchley has scooped a regional honour.

The 23-year-old won the title of Best Newcomer – Distinction at the Liverpool Women of the Year Awards.

She spent the day at the ceremony, held in the city, and performed in front of hundreds of special guests and local celebrities.

Laura said of her win: “I have had such an amazing week. I’ve gained support from national radio and now have won this award. I am so proud.”

On Monday she released her latest single Today’s Another Day, which has been remixed by Ash Howes who has worked with stars including Kylie and Sandi Thom.
