A NEW charity shop which supports elderly people is heading to the Port Arcades shopping centre.

Extra Care is looking for good quality unwanted items including clothing, accessories, soft furnishings and CD’s to raise funds for the work they do in the community.

The charitable trust believes that age, health or financial means shouldn’t be a barrier to achieving an enjoyable quality of life in later years.

They support housing schemes and retirement villages throughout the greater Midlands area and the North.

Centre manager Les Lyon said: “The Port Arcades is happy to welcome Extra Care to the centre, we hope their shop is a success so they can carry on all the good work they do in the community.

“We hope that the people of Ellesmere Port can recycle their items as well as being charitable.”
