PARENTS and grandparents were among those who contributed to a golden skills day at White- gate Primary School on Tuesday.
The aim was to teach pupils a range of talents using the time of family members who were more than happy to help.
Skills on offer ranged from Indian cooking and line dancing to circus skills and knitting.
Headteacher Ian Percival said the event had been a huge success and the children loved it.
He said: “We wanted to teach the children new skills and we certainly achieved that.
“Each child had a choice of four different activities and they could be anything from painting murals to football with one of the dads who used to play professionally.”
