MEMBERS of the security team patrolling the Capenhurst nuclear site have an arresting new uniform.
The Civil Nuclear Consta- bulary, who are on duty at all the country’s 15 nuclear facilities, are wearing a new-style uniform which came into use earlier this month.
It is designed to keep officers cool in summer and warm in winter, thanks to its Polyester Wicking material.
The new uniform is also said to be more practical than its predecessor. Trials of the new uniform have received positive feedback from serving officers.
They have welcomed the tops and trousers as being far more comfortable, while the trousers have more pockets which will ease the carrying of necessary equipment.
This change is part of the constabulary’s drive to uplift its officer’s capability and capacity to deliver on their mission statement of Defend, Deny, Recover.
