TIME is running out for you to help us find the town’s best independent traders.

Wrexham Labour AM Lesley Griffiths came up with the idea for the competition in a bid to support the town’s independent traders through the recession.

Sponsored by Wrexham Industrial Estate-based leading specialist catering equipment manufacturer IMC and backed by The Wrexham Chronicle, the competition is looking to find Wrexham’s:

Best independent shop.

Best independent cafe.

Best independent pub/ restaurant.

Ms Griffiths said: “Everyone values small, local independent shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants – they are, in many instances, the lifeblood of communities right across Wrexham.

“The economic downturn has impacted on many businesses locally in varying degrees.”

Winning traders will be featured in the Chronicle and given a plaque to display on their premises.
