COLWYN Bay boss Gary Finley could find himself four players light for today’s home game with Bridlington.

Striker Mark Quayle and utility man Robbie Williams are both unavailable due to work commitments while key pair Alex Kevan and Martin Crowder are nursing injuries.

“Alex and Martin weren’t able to train on Tuesday and it’s a race against time as to whether either of them will be fit in time,” said the Seagulls boss.

“I’ll wait as late as possible before ruling them out because they are important members of the side and I’d like them to be out there.”

The pair took knocks during last Saturday’s cruel 1-0 defeat at Ossett Albion, which brought Finley’s seven-match unbeaten sequence since taking charge of the Bay to an end.

“The conditions dictated the game with a gale force wind blowing from start to finish,” said Finley.

“It was never a game for the purists and we suffered from being without a game for two weeks.

“I always felt that one goal would settle it.

“Unfortunately it fell to them although neither side deserved to win.

“In the end I would have happily settled for a point.”

Finley is standing by to reshuffle his pack if he finds he has to cover all four gaps but is confident he has the flexibility within the squad to effect a solution.

The Bay drew 1-1 at Bridlington in November so will be hopeful of going one better today.

Added Finley: “There are a few switches I could make but for the moment I must wait and see what’s needed.”
