SEA cadets will embark on an epic journey on one of Europe’s greatest rivers.

Cadets at Ellesmere Port Unit will take a two-week trip along the Rhine.

The cadets will launch from the Royal Victoria Dock Sea Cadet Boating Station in London on Tuesday .

They will then navigate to HMS President to moor for the evening and spend two nights on HMS Belfast.

Then they will be given the official wave off next Thursday, July 16, by the Speaker, before putting their boats on trailers for the journey to Holland via Dover and Calais.

On the Friday they will launch boats at Woudrichem, Holland, on the River Waal and navigate to Wesel in Germany on the Rhine.

From there they will travel to Bonn, then on to Mainz. They will then navigate from Gernsheim to Mannheim and on to the River Neckar, eventually making their way to Stuttgart.

On Monday, July 27, they will travel from Liege in Belgium Reutlingen to Liege (Belgium) by road then from Liege to the UK via Calais-Dover.
