A WREXHAM primary school is urging people to cast their votes tonight to help it secure new play facilities.

St Anne’s Primary School in Caia Park has reached the finals of voting for the People’s Millions for Big Lottery cash.

Five groups out of the eight finalists in Wales will win awards of up to £50,000 for community projects.

If successful, the cash will fund creative play and learning equipment for the current sparse and under-developed grounds at St Anne’s.

The plea will be aired on the ITV Wales news this evening.

It will be up against Ty Fforest Community House’s COMART. The project, based in Swansea, would employ a community artist and purchase art materials and equipment to provide opportunities for the local community to learn new artistic skills to increase confidence and skills.

The project with the most votes will win the funding. Two projects have been going head-to-head each night this week with a fifth bonus winner being announced tomorrow

To vote for St Anne’s call 0871 626 81 48, charges will apply.
